The Rev. Elder Jim Mitulski is the interim pastor of Island United Church UCC in Foster City, CA https://www.facebook.com/iucfc/ and the Development Team lead for Major Gifts at the Oakland Peace Center www.oaklandpeacecenter.org For the past forty years he he has been the spiritual community organizer as a pastor of both queer and non-queer spiritual communities around the country affiliated with the Metropolitan Community Churches, the United Church of Christ, the Disicples of Christ and The Fellowship of Affirming Ministries , including a fifteen year tenure at the MCC Church in San Francisco during the difficult HIV/AIDS years, and 2 years as interim pastor of the largest LGBT church in the world, the Cathedral of Hope in Dallas. Jim has degrees from Columbia University, Pacific School of Religion, the Harvard Divinity School and the Starr King School for the Ministry. He is a long term survivor of HIV/AIDS., and has a particular devotion to Mary, the Mother of Jesus. He lives in Oakland with his feline companion Keats.
